Our Strategy

The following four strategic principles guide us as we work to accomplish our mission.

Commitment

We look for provider partners that share our commitment to improving the lives and futures of everyone affected by autism. We continuously strive for improvement, and we ask our partners to do the same.

Impact

We rely on The Tyner Foundation, the Avenues board, and in-kind donations to pay for our operating costs. That way, other contributions we receive can make a direct impact on the lives of those we serve.

Data Driven

We rely on community feedback, research, and assessment data when setting priorities, identifying partners, establising initiatives, and focus our funding efforts.

Outcome Focused

We assess programs and services in which we invest—not only in terms of numbers served, but also by positive changes in quality of life, opportunity, and growth.

What We Do

We Advocate

We’re striving to make Northwest Ohio a place where individuals on the autism spectrum find encouragement, understanding, and opportunity—and a community that appreciates those with autism as valuable members of society. Toward that end, we promote public awareness about autism, advocate for appropriate support services, and provide the latest information regarding treatment, education, and research.

We Partner

As a united partner to autism-focused nonprofit organizations, we’ve witnessed firsthand what individuals with autism can accomplish with limitations removed. By leveraging the many unique resources of our not-for-profit partners, we help meet the day-to-day needs of those affected by autism, as well as their families and caregivers.

We Support

We host several annual fundraisers with the sole purpose of investing donated funds back into local programs and services. To date, we have supported 18 organizations in northwest Ohio with more than $1 million in funding. We have also provided more than $200,000 in financial support, benefitting families with services they could not otherwise access.
